Door is a young girl whose age is hard to pin down, but she looks no older than sixteen, has a fondness for exploration and adventure and Jane Austen novels, and is the only definite survivor of the murders of the House of Portico. One younger sister may have survived as well, but that is only a rumor. Pushed out into the cold and the dark by a pair of otherwordly hitmen, Door stumbles into the slightly dull and incredibly normal Richard Mayhew and pleads for his help in avoiding capture. The resulting journey through London Below to uncover the truth of her family's murder brings Door from childhood into the confident young woman she is now.
Powers: Door is an opener, as the rest of her family was. This means that she can open any enclosed or locked thing, including: human chests, oranges, Chinese boxes, gates to Heaven, doorways to other places, etc. The only thing she can't seem to open is a way out of the City.
Being an opener also means that if you have private or locked posts, Door can open them and read them. She's usually not that concerned with snooping unless it's for a good reason though. The mun will always ask permission before reading/hacking locked entries.
